Low carb is the answer

There are many advantages of low carb diets. It is easy to digest, protects our heart, kidneys and bones from any malfunction and most of all gives us a longer and healthier life. It is a proven fact that in someone’s daily diet the carbohydrate level should not be above 65%, because the rest of the carbs turn into sugar and eventually take us to the path of diabetes.

Alarming situation isn’t it?

Follow some simple guidelines. Eat adequate amount of fat and protein because in a low carb diet, those will be your source of energy so forget all the myths about them. Avoid eating Bread, Potatoes, Rice, Pasta because they are high incarbohydrate (15g – 45g). Low carb diet means your diet should contain less than 50g carbohydrate per day.

Low carb sources

The non-starchy vegetables are the best low carb foods you can have, like Beans, Carrots, Pumpkins, Cauliflower, Cucumber and many more. Some source of protein also contain high amount carbohydrate as in milk (11.4g). So try other alternatives of milk like unsweetened soy milk (2g-5g) and unsweetened almond milk (2g-3g).

Sugar is also a source of unwanted carbohydrate so limit usage of sugar but less consumption of sweets, soft drinks and energy drinks. It will be difficult for you to follow all the guidelines at first but eventually you will get used to it
