1. Rent a rowboat in Central Park and float along the lake. Boats are available at the Loeb Boathouse and you and your significant other can spend a relaxing day on the water. Or reminisce about Venice and tour the lake on a gondola, also available at Loeb Boathouse.

2. Visit the Plaza Hotel adjacent to Central Park. This beautiful landmark has been the stage for many movies over the years. Enjoy the elegant hotel lobby, have a couples massage or toast one another at the Champagne Bar.

3. After you leave the Plaza, walk across the street to Central Park where horse-drawn carriages are awaiting passengers. During regular operating hours, you are limited to touring Central Park by carriage; however, after 11:00, you can venture outside of the park and see the city as well.

4. Take in a harbor cruise with your partner and enjoy the sites by boat. Tour guides will show you the ins and outs of New York City while you enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the water.

5. Bring out your inner romantic by emulating Holly Golightly and have breakfast at Tiffany’s. Pick up Danish from a nearby bakery or food truck and stand outside of the famed jeweler for a photo op. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll score a new bauble from Tiffany’s to commemorate your trip.

6. Stroll the gardens at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and spend a relaxing afternoon surrounded by beauty. In the spring, the cherry blossoms are breathtaking. In winter months, stay indoors at the garden and enjoy the scenery.

7. Travel with your honey to the top of the Empire State Building and enjoy the panoramic views of New York City. The best time to visit is at night where New York is lit up like a jewel.

8. Go back in time by walking along the Coney Island boardwalk and reminisce about summers gone by. Play games at the arcade, ride a thrill ride and feast on a Nathan’s hot dog for a memorable date night at one of New York City’s most popular destinations.

9. During warmer months, take a picnic basket and a blanket and watch some of the classic movies in an outdoor setting in Bryant Park. The summer film festival features classics from all genres on Monday evenings. Movies under the stars makes for a very romantic evening.

10. Stroll along the High Line and watch the traffic fly by underneath. This spot is welcoming to tourists who want to get off the beaten path so it is a perfect venue for a late afternoon date.
