If you’re living in Florida or thinking of taking a trip to Florida, you’ll have a ton of water parks to choose from. The “number one water park” as voted by the Amusement Business Magazine is Wet-n-Wild. It’s not only one of the best water parks in all of Florida, but it is also the oldest. This doesn’t mean it’s outdated. Every few years they add new attractions and equipment for the whole family to enjoy. Amidst many thrill-seeker rides is the Kid’s Park, which is perfect for the smallest of the family. It includes a kiddie pool and giant sandcastle that will keep the little ones amused for hours.

Chances are if you’re in the Kissimmee area, you’ll stop by Walk Disney World, which is home to a 56-acre water park called Typhoon Lagoon. One of the highlights of Typhoon Lagoon is MountMayDay, which is a huge volcano that features several water slides. At the base of the mountain you can find a huge wave pool. In fact, it is one of the world’s largest wave pools!

The Midwestern states have a variety of water parks to choose from as well. In Sandusky Ohio you’ll find Cedar Point, which offers a few dozen slides and other attractions. If water isn’t your thing, there are roller coasters, games and shows for the whole family to enjoy. You can buy day passes or season passes, whichever you’d prefer. After a long day playing on the water slides, there is a beach nearby for you to relax in the sand.

Morey’s Piers in New Jersey has two of the best water parks in the state – Ocean Oasis Waterpark and Beach Club, and Raging Waters Water Theme Park. At Ocean Oasis you’ll find a family friendly atmosphere, with an activity pool for the little ones. It’s a great place to relax in the sun and grab lunch with a concierge service. At Raging Waters, you’ll find a variety of waterslides, water guns and climbing ropes. There are also tube slides and splash pools for everyone to enjoy the day together.

If you’re taking a trip to Texas, you’ll want to visit the Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island. With a Lily Pad wading pool, waterslides, and a sandy beach area, this water park has everything you need for the perfect family fun day. Adults can also enjoy a hot tub and bar!

Water parks are a great way to spend time with your family while having fun in the warm weather. No matter where you are in the country, you’re bound to be close to an enjoyable water park that your family will love.
