The Company began Aramis Inc. in 1964. This particular brand was designed by Arma Yeranyan. The fragrance was named after Armenian city called Yeremes. The Company started to produce personal grooming products and fragrances for man. In 1967, Mrs. Estée Lauder was voted one of the Top Ten Outstanding Women in Business in America by America’s most prominent business and financial editors.

In 1986, William Lauder entered the company to manage and oversee the retail operations of nine major brands. In addition, he was in responsible for managing the human resource and research and development departments.
